yoga for teens

Family Fun with Yoga

Family yoga is one of my favorite to teach.  The kids have so much fun, and the parents are relaxed and get a wonderful introduction to the benefits of yoga.   If you haven’t tried family yoga,  you might like it!  Ask a local studio if they offer a class, or suggest they introduce it!  There are some free downloads to help kids relax and to give you ideas about how to integrate yoga into your family’s health plan at www.greentreeyoga.org.

Yoga for Teens!

If you work with teens and are looking for a way to help them learn some stress management techniques and learn to be healthier, check out this book: Yoga for Kids and Teens.

Relaxation for Adaptive Yoga Needs

If you are working with kids who have special needs, the SOLA yoga stikk may be just the thing for your group.  It allows kids to create their own totem by decorating their sticks, and then use the stick to gain confidence in any yoga pose that involves balance.
We are about to go into our second printing of the SOLA Yoga Stikk manual/DVD. These stikks have been sold internationally, as well as from coast to coast in the US. Check it out on Youtube   A great way to gain confidence, balance, or just deepen your yoga practice.  Thank you, Nicole Hamory Cavallaro, for the wonderful creation!
